Building Women Member Spotlight: Elizabeth Morgan

Elizabeth Morgan

MEET ELIZABETH MORGAN!

Originally from Normal, Illinois, and forever touting that Midwestern charm, Building Women is pleased to spotlight the ever-so-talented Elizabeth Morgan.

Elizabeth serves as Director of Business Development for CollinsWoerman, an architecture, planning, and design firm located in Seattle. As one of the original members of the Building Women, Elizabeth has been involved since our first meeting. She brings a tenacious spirit, a lot of spunk, and a wealth of lessons learned from more than three decades of experience in the A/E/C industry.

About Elizabeth:

With a focus on Business Administration and Art at Illinois State, Elizabeth supported herself through college by working in the banking industry. While working at the bank, Elizabeth met a landscape architect/land planner and shifted her career path to the A/E/C industry.

In her new position with the landscape architectural firm, and with a burning desire to continuously learn and grow, Elizabeth identified the opportunity to support client outreach efforts to identify new and upcoming projects for her firm – and thus began her career in marketing and business development.

Over the years, Elizabeth has been fortunate to work with several global firms including Leo A. Daly, TRA, HOK, and Callison. She has been with CollinsWoerman for the last 16 years. Each of these firms pursued diverse markets, but healthcare has been the one constant. Elizabeth’s determination and constant drive for success have been present in every aspect of her career. She is so strong-minded, in fact, that you will often hear her say “they didn’t say no – I heard, not now.”

Why Building Women?

With an absolute love for the energy of the group, Elizabeth is a very gracious contributor to Building Women. She appreciates the honest and open sharing of lessons learned, introductions of others in the industry, and the support of one another to be better individually and collaboratively. “As a consultant, I particularly appreciate the openness of those in the group on the client side who are willing to share what they look for in consultants in all disciplines. Just as importantly, as a consultant, I think we can encourage openness to our clients to help us be better members of their project teams.”

We are so very fortunate to have Elizabeth among our ranks to bring such a vast background of knowledge and lessons learned. If you would like to learn more about Elizabeth, you may reach her at 206.399.2486 or via email at emorgan@collinswoerman.com.
